Self Care – What Have You Done For Yourself Lately?

Hey Sexy Mamas!

Do you know that in order for you to be able to take care and support others effectively, you must engage in self care and put yourself first?

What have you done for yourself lately?  No, really?  What have you done for yourself lately?

Self care is more important than you think.  It doesn’t have to be anything grandiose, but just something that will make you feel good.  Self care helps your body release endorphins that boost your mood.  If you are not your best self or not feeling well, how can you care for others, support others, or assist in whatever they need?

Consistent self care results in mental clarity, focus, increased energy and other mental shifts.  It will also help you experience reduced levels of stress as well as have an attitude of gratitude.   Operating from a place of gratefulness and thankfulness helps with being aware of your inner being which is the core of who you are.  This is suppressed when we constantly put others first  and forget about ourselves.  This is why daily self care engagement is so important.  Here is a list of 5 activities you can immediately implement.

  • Take a nap
  • Stretch for 5 minutes
  • Take a long bath.
  • Soak up the sunshine
  • Journal your thoughts and feelings
